Improving one’s physical appearance lifts up the self-esteem,
makes work and interpersonal relationships easier -from
a different perspective- and it has been proved to
increase success odds. Baldness –both in men and women-
triggers unpredictable psychological alterations that
result in an internal unbalance, which is reflected in
everyday life and goes against the WHO’s (World Health
Organization) definition of ‘health’ which states that:
"health is a state of complete physical, mental and
social well-being […]".
Baldness has to be recognized for what it is: an illness,
and so it should be accepted and treated as such. The
patient has to fully acknowledge this and mainly, the
fact that with all of the scientific and medical
progresses that take place nowadays, this is a pathology
that has a definitive solution with excellent results.
My personal focus is the patient as a whole, including
the psychological assistance -if needed- and
personalized follow-ups.
